Q1 When I log in with DEFAULT as my user ID and PASSWORD as my password, I get a message saying either my USER ID or PASSWORD is invalid?
Check to make sure that you entered all of the characters in capital letters. Make sure of this by clicking your "CAPS LOCK" button on and off a couple of times to make sure it is off or on.
Q2 I encounter an error that states ERROR 13/Alias not found. How do I resolve this?
A possible fix to problem is that the data or program may be saved in a folder that contains a space in it. One possible folder where this error could occur is in the Program Files folder. Make sure to install program or data folder to a folder that does not contain any spaces.
Q3 What do I do when the tables get corrupted or I think that my data is corrupt?
The first step in fixing this problem is to go under the "Tools" command and go to "Fix Data Tables". Choose the "Re-Index command", "select all" and finally "OK". This can be done to fix most indexing problems.
Q4. An error message occurs on FEDLINE that has to do with the date?
Check to make sure that when you send the file from ACH BIND that the file output type that was chosen was either ASCII or Streaming. FEDLINE can not read a file that was written in either DOS or Windwos BIND format. The file output type can be chosen at the "Write ACH file" window. Call your vendor to find appropriate file format type.
Q5. My receivers do not show up in the "Multi-Add" screen and I can not add them to the batch?
Go into "Recever Maintenance", select the "Application" tab and make sure that there is an account in the primary account box.
Q6. When I go to write the file, it does not appear in the "Write ACH File" window?
Make sure that "Completed and Active" is checked on the "Batch Entries" tab. If this is not checked, the file will not appear in the "Write ACH file" window.

Q7 I receive an error in regard to my user preferences or I get an operator mismatch error?
Go into Windows Explorer and delete the following files from your Barrington/ACHforPC/Data folder: sysuserpref.cdx and sysuserpref.dbf. After deleting those files, open ACH for the PC, answer yes to check integrity.
When you create a new user, you must set an Originator when you enter the program for the first time as that new user. After logging in, go to the "File" menu item and choose "Set Originator". Make sure that the name in the window is the same as the Originator that you are working with.
Q9 In Novell, I write my file and the program does not do anything and I get a spinng hourglass?
